When a man and his daughter accidentally hit and kill a unicorn with their car, his boss tries to exploit the creature's miraculous curative properties -- with horrific results.

Elliot Kintner and his teenage daughter Ridley are spending a weekend at the estate of Elliot's boss Odell Leopold and his family—his wife Belinda and their son Shepard.

While driving to their destination, Elliot accidentally runs over a unicorn foal with his car. When Ridley touches its horn, she experiences strange cosmic visions, which Elliot abruptly stops after he bludgeons the creature with a tire iron. Elliot’s boss tries to exploit the creature's miraculous curative properties -- with horrific results.

Death of a Unicorn is a fun filled horror-comedy and I was surprised with how much I really enjoyed it. It has moments of suspense which is broken up by the well placed humour and sometimes silly comedy. Who else could bring the funny side to a somewhat gory horror movie than Paul Rudd who is effortlessly funny? I must admit Jenna Ortgea holds her own against the comedic genius of Rudd. For someone usually cast in darker more intense roles she does shine here.

One great thing about Death of a Unicorn is it doesn't take itself seriously and it leans right into the silliness of murderous, rampaging unicorns.

Death of a Unicorn is a hilarious wild ride that will have you jump in your seat one second and roaring with laughter the next. With a great cast, awesome visuals and a fantastic soundtrack it's definitely one to see on the big screen.
