A widowed mother's first date in years takes a terrifying turn when she's bombarded with anonymous threatening messages on her phone during their upscale dinner, leaving her questioning if her charming date is behind the harassment.

Drop is a thriller from Happy Death Day director/Heart Eyes writer Christopher Landon that features a terrific central performance from Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) and a clever premise that only just starts to overstay its welcome before a satisfying ending.

Meghann Fahy plays Violet, survivor of domestic abuse and widow who is finally taking some time for herself by going on a date with a handsome photographer. With her son safe in her sister’s care, Violet thought this date might be a chance to start again. However, she soon finds herself at the centre of a nefarious plot propelled by a series of anonymous “drops” to her phone that start out intrusive yet benign but becoming increasingly scary before demanding the most from her in the worst way.

Director Christopher Landon gives Drop its energy and propulsion through taught storytelling in combination with creative camerawork, resulting in an electric thriller with great performances from Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar that bolster it through only a moment of incredulity when heading towards the conclusion.

Meghann Fahy brings the audience with her through a believable and riveting performance, she’s a key part of the film’s success. The energy of the film and Meghann’s performance make Drop extremely engaging and thrilling to witness.
