Lucy and the Ghoul search for Hank in the wasteland.
After wandering the Wasteland looking for her kidnapped father (Kyle MacLachlan), Lucy (Ella Purnell) finds him, and it turns out he wasn't kidnapped so much as he was taken to the surface in order to answer for his despicable war crimes (and the Ghoulification of her mother). Rather than face the music, he hijacks a suit of armor from the Brotherhood of Steel and heads towards New Vegas. Lucy and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) follow suit, though we know our favorite skeletal bounty hunter has other plans.
After the triumph of the first season which proved how superb video game adaptations truly could be, I was a little nervous about whether the team could land another great season. My fear quickly dissipated as we are thrown straight back into the chaotic world of Fallout.
We pick up right where we left off, but instead of being thrown straight into the chaos we are introduced to Mr. House before the Great War. While we will follow Lucy and Ghoul in the hunt for her father, just as in season one, we will follow a number of stories including Mr. House, Hank, and Maximus and the Brotherhood of Steel. The stories don’t feel jumbled at all, they are all work in unison for the overall narrative arc of the series.
As with the previous series, the action is stacked throughout with brutality and an almost comedic beat to the gore of it all. The production design doesn’t falter and looks in its detail and grandeur like a big, Hollywood blockbuster film in its delivery.
Building beautifully on the previous season, Fallout: Season Two proves to be one of the best shows on television.
