22 years after Tess and Anna endured an identity crisis, Anna now has a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might strike twice.
Millennials, grab your skinny jeans and peplum tops, there's a movie to see! Your favourite body-swapping crew is back for more freaky fun.
While we all understandably get a bit nervous seeing our teen faves getting some form of reboot, rest assured, this one is just as bright, goofy and fun as the first. But notably, is still fresh enough to entertain a 2025 audience.
While it's the best kind of throwback seeing Lindsay Lohan and Chad Michael Murray on the big screen again, as expected, it's Jamie Lee Curtis who shines like the absolute A-lister she is. She is the start and end of every joke that landed with the audience and is so charming and lovable as Tess.
The now-Grandmother remains just the right amount of wacky to her now grown and sensible daughter Anna (Lohan). Anna's daughter Harper and her boyfriend's daughter (and Harper's uptight lab partner) Lily, round out the body-swapping quad. Creating some messy multi-generational fun, the story is oozing in heart and entertainment factor - with a few fun cameos thrown in as well.
You'll be giggling and kicking your feet just like you were back in 2003, but this 2025 offering is for the next generation to join in on the fun too. Freakier Friday brings back all the best bits of an early 2000s teen movie, it's a delight seeing such a title at the cinema again.
