Gabby and Grandma Gigi's road trip takes an unexpected turn when Gabby's prized dollhouse ends up with eccentric cat lady Vera.
In the new film, Gabby heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera, Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late.
There are many kids films that are thoroughly accessible to the adults in the room. And while Gabby’s Dollhouse has some great moments for adults, this is a sugary, song filled treat that’s particularly for the little ones in attendance.
The story flows along perfectly with Gabby breaking the fourth wall, usually when she asks the audience to give a pinch to their left ear, a pinch on their right ear, and hold on to their toy tight. So, yes, you will be asked by your little one to buy some cat ears for them to wear at this film.
Also, there are some real toe tapping tunes which you’re encouraged to hold hands and sing along to. Gabby’s Dollhouse is definitely more of an interactive experience than your normal kid’s film fare and our little 3 and a half year old couldn’t have been happier.
A sugary, song filled interactive treat, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is the perfect silver screen outing for your little ones these school holidays.
