An all star cast, some great laughs, and a feel good story that Mum will love. 

brooklyn (2015)

Saoirse Ronan in her Oscar nominated role as a young Irish immigrant who finds a whole new life and love in the city of Brooklyn in the 1950's. After tragedy strikes she must choose between her new life or the one she left behind in Ireland. 

A charming, romantic story: Mum tick of approval.

Phil and Claire Foster are determined to reignite the marital spark so they head to a trendy Manhattan bistro where a case of mistaken identity turns their evening into the ultimate date night-gone-awry.

One to make Mum laugh until she cries. And you get to gaze at Mark Wahlberg's rippling six pack. Whats not to like here?

After landing her dream job as the assistant to the diabolical Miranda Priestly, the editor of the glamorous Runway magazine, Andy must learn to survive in the cut throat world of fashion.

the greatest showman (2017)
mamma mia (2008)

An original musical based on the life of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman celebrates a visionary who came from nothing to create 'The Greatest Show on Earth which became a world wide phenomenon.

The songs are so catchy Mum will be humming them to herself for days afterwards which sorts out her birthday present. You're getting her the soundtrack. Don't say we don't help you with your life admin.

Musical based on the classic songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia is the story of Sophie who invites three of her mothers old flames to her wedding in order to discover her father. 

 

The classic songs, the Greek islands, Stellan Skarsgard AND Colin Firth AND Pierce Bronsnan. Mamma Mia! Its movie sing along time! 
 

notting hill (1999)

William Thacker's mundane existence is thrown into romantic turmoil when Anna Scott, a famous actress, appears in his struggling London travel bookstore.

Mum will love Hugh Grant, she'll have a wee cry, and she will snort with laughter when Spike asks Will's opinion on his date outfits. Hilarious!

pretty woman (1990)

A bonafide classic. Richard Gere plays a wealthy businessman who falls for an escort (Julia Roberts) when he hires her to spend the weekend with him.

Pretty Woman is just a hands down classic. And Mr. Richard Silver Fox Himself Gere? Yes please. 

sense and sensibility (1995)

The classic Jane Austen tale tells the story of two sisters, one pragmatic, the other overly emotional, who both fall in love with men who are already promised to others.

​

Nothing else warms the heart more than a good period drama and posh English accents. So put on the kettle, grab the finest china, and crack open the Earl Grey. 

wonder (2017)

Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie Pullman becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade.

Wonder is a fabulous, weepy film. Make sure you get a couple of boxes of Kleenex for this one.
