Living is a rare breed of film that transcends mere entertainment, becoming an ode and meditation on the meaning of life that will have you musing on it for weeks to come. An incredibly beautiful work of art with one of the best acting performances from Bill Nighy that you are ever likely to witness. The best film of 2023.

Scream VI is a clever and thoroughly engaging slasher with a great cast and some excellent writers as the film’s twists and escalations will keep even the most shrewd horror fan entertained.



Broker is a gentle yet at times funny exploration of a group of desperate yet loveable outsiders who must come together to survive.



Champions is a feel-good movie with characters of depth that ring true, giving it a whole lot of heart and laughter along the way.

what's love got to do with it?

While there are some distracting narrative choices, What's Love Got To Do With It? is a charming, breezy rom-com escape.

While it has some narrative beats and acting choices that don’t quite ring true, the subject matter of The Son is searing and powerful and will make you want to rush home and hug your children tightly.



No matter how many times you may have seen Titanic through the years, seeing it at the cinema still provides a wonderful and powerful experience.

While aspects of the story telling may falter, Fraser’s performance is one for the ages. One of the best of 2023.

While Knock at the Cabin Door may not have the twists and turns that one might expect from a Shyamalan feature, his ability to find tension in a stripped back, basic story with Bautista giving his best performance to date, is incredible. Shyamalan’s best in years.

While Avatar: The Way of Water suffers from a lack of story and character development, its real power lies in its spectacle with sumptuous visuals and a breathless salvo of action in its final act.

The Bob's Burgers Movie is a charming adaptation of the long running animated series, with great humour and musical numbers that will please returning fans as well as newcomers to the series.
