Of The Office fame, Mindy Kaling plays Mindy Lahiri, an OB/GYN looking for the perfect leading man to her romantic-comedy-life. Mindy knows what she wants and will go on a dinner date with many an unpredictable gent to find it. She's smart, successful and a real romantic. Her rag-tag team of quirky workmates are there for the ride and make it oh-so-awkward in the the very best way.

 

Very reminiscent of her The Office character, Mindy is obviously intelligent and easily lovestruck. While she's a laugh, it's her co-stars that consistently steal the show. They're unashamedly strange folk who have you laughing through every episode. My personal favourite is Morgan, a nurse who so whole-heartedly supports Mindy, despite all the drama. The awkwardness is the perfect balance between painful and side-splittingly funny.

 

The 17 disc, 6 season series is an end-of-the-day easy watch. Super sweet and wonderfully light-hearted, The Mindy Project is bound to become your newest long-day go-to.
