The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.

Tangled represented a massive milestone for Disney animation. Not only was it their 50th animated feature but also marked a complete departure from hand drawn animation to 3D. You barely notice the difference: the story, characters, and songs are all what you would expect from a Disney animated feature: out of this world spectacular

The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.

Tangled, based loosely on the Grimm fairytale of Rapunzel, breathes a fresh into the Disney ‘princess’ genre. While The Princess and the Frog is technically a princess film this is Disney’s throwback to Sleeping Beauty - a fairytale set in a more fantastical world.

And the princess has slightly changed. Although she is rescued by Flynn Smoulder Rider she is feisty and independent, moving with the times. Flynn is the most fun male (human) character in a Disney film since Phoebus in The Hunchback of Notre Dame with his care free, smouldering attitude.

Alan Menken (of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin fame) returns with the upbeat ‘When Will My Life Begin’ song and heartfelt ballad ‘I See the Light’. Mandy Moore (Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (Flynn) add great heart and depth to their voice work, bringing more life to the magnificent Disney animation.

A return to classic fairytale romance, Disney’s Tangled is filled with a heartfelt story and ballads all held together by breathtaking animation.
